Prophetic Arts Clinic and Training

Schedule: Next PACT date to be announced. If you are not able to commit to these four weeks you may want to wait until the next Prophetic Arts Clinic. (Tentatively this clinic will happen on a 4 week rotation taking a six-week break in between cycles.)

ARTIST BIO: Leslie Iwai, currently of Omaha, Neb., works full-time as an artist and is part-time at the Heartland House of Prayer in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Leslie is an artist committed to being before the Lord and expressing truth through the visual arts. She has a heart to encourage others to seek Christ first and gain confidence through Him in order to make and express beauty. Known in the Omaha artist community for her installation and sculpture work, specifically Sounding Stones, Iwai will be teaching the four week Prophetic Arts Clinic and Training sessions at the Heartland House of Prayer.

Prophetic Arts Clinic and Training (PACT) This month HHOP is launching the Prophetic Arts Clinic and Training (PACT). We feel it is timely and important for the larger Body of Christ and our community to connect with what God is doing in the area of prophetic arts. Our desire is to bring teaching and training in this vital area. PURPOSE The purpose of this clinic is to release individuals to minister to the Lord through the creative arts, preparing one to be a vital part of a worship team at HHOP. Also we feel the responsibility to bring the expression of the arts created in and through a lifestyle of prayer to our metropolitan area. We are providing this clinic as a way to bring acts of creative worship into a place to be engaged in by our community. TEACHING Areas of teaching will address the issue of competition, performance and excellence and how these areas affect our heart postures before the Lord. There is a battle that rages concerning the beautiful. We will be searching the scriptures, pressing into understanding the power of Beauty expressed through our Lord Jesus Christ. We will also address areas of engaging our community in corporate worship through the arts and what that looks like. Each person will be asked to engage in a creative act during the month-long duration of the PACT. This will be done off-site and discussed and shown on-site. During the clinic we will engage in corporate meditation and worship through creative exercises pertaining to the particular scriptural / prayer focus for the evening. To finish off the evening individuals can be a part of a HHOP Harp and Bowl Team allowing a practical working out of the day's teaching and meditations.
